Il Garante della privacy e le associazioni di categoria hanno firmato un nuovo Codice di Condotta per le attività di telemarketing, che entrerà in vigore dal 1° aprile 2021. Il nuovo Codice prevede l’introduzione di misure per contrastare il telemarketing molesto e illegale, come ad esempio il divieto di chiamare i numeri di telefono di coloro che si sono iscritti al Registro delle Opposizioni, l’obbligo di comunicare il numero di telefono del chiamante e la durata della chiamata, l’obbligo di raccogliere il consenso esplicito del destinatario prima di effettuare una chiamata a scopo di marketing e il divieto di effettuare chiamate in orari non consentiti. Inoltre, il Codice prevede l’istituzione di un sistema di reclami per i consumatori che si ritengono vittime di telemarketing molesto. In sintesi, il nuovo Codice di Condotta si propone di migliorare la qualità del telemarketing e di proteggere i consumatori dai comportamenti illeciti dei venditori telefonici.
